Ken left teaching to pursue a career in business and joined a foreign-owned start-up pharmaceutical technology company of 5 employees as a salesman. Within 7 years he rose to a position of senior leadership to finally become the President of Glatt Air Techniques, Inc. Ken honed his skills as a visionary leader and entrepreneur by founding Nortec Development Associates, a generic drug development company, just six years after joining the Glatt organization. Shortly thereafter, Ken led Glatt Air to be the first company to introduce oral contraceptives to the Peoples Republic of China. During that time he also partnered with a professional seminar organization to form what has become one of the leading training seminars for pharmaceutical scientists. In 1990, while serving as President of both Glatt and Nortec, he founded International Processing Corporation, a state of the art contract drug manufacturing company, where Ken also served as President and CEO. As the senior operating officer of all three companies with a combined staff of some 400 employees, Ken grew the businesses to become multi-million dollar organizations. Both Nortec and IPC were sold shortly after 2000 and provided a significant return on investment to investors.

To stay abreast of trends, Ken was actively involved in numerous professional associations and activities. He was a member of the Drug & Chemical & Allied Trades Association, Society of Manufacturing Engineers, Institute of Food Technology, American Association of Candy Technologists, American Pharmaceutical Association and American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists, to name a few.
